I have a lump in my neck help please

I was in the shower and washing my neck felt a lump right side of my neck. Not where the glands are further back halfway round my neck. It wasn't there 2 days ago . Any ideas? Should I go to Dr? It doesn't hurt but is hard.

A few months ago I noticed a hard, but moveable lump in the side of my neck but towards the back. I can still feel it now, it is painless and hasn't changed in size or shape - if anything perhaps it feels a little softer/smaller.

I had a nurse look at it and she thinks it is actually a vein I can feel! I was stressing over this big time but glad I got it checked out. I still have the odd worry over it, but I am trusting what the nurse said.

The likelihood is it is nothing to worry about :) if you are still worried in a couple of days the get checked out to set your mind at rest but I have had stuff like this before and there was no further investigation or concern.
