Hi there,
so for the past 5 months, alternating loose stools and constipation. When I have loose stools I have cramps and mild pain but none with constipation.
Had : parasite test
fecal blood test
blood tests
calproctectin test
& CRP test - inflammatory marker blood test.
All came back clear, blood tests normal etc, no anemia etc.
The only thing they found was Blastocystits - a parasite.
The Dr said it shouldn't cause symptoms.
Anyway - still now after all this time I"ll go between constipation for a week and then mild pain followed by urgent need to go toilet to only do soft kinda hot feeling stools.
Does this sound familiar?
I'm wondering if i push for a colonoscopy.
Dr says no more tests needed as obviously it's IBS ... however I"ve read of people whose Dr has said that only for them to develop Colon Cancer a year later.
Any thoughts?
Please I"d love to hear them right now.
My anxiety if out of control and i can't breathe properly ... I think I just need reassurance and support.
