I've had palps for YEARS with anxiety, yes they are scary and some can feel so intense but it IS a side effect of anxiety.

Thankyou for your reply. It all started when I did a few activities. Not sure if it was anxiety or problems with my heart. Did you see my other thread ?? Whole body trembling. Didn't feel like my usual panic attack.

I can get them from walkin some times if iv been sat up for awhile.

It's the worsed thing to say to people like us but if in doubt get tested, I did and it was all fine and 100% yes, 100% of anx sufferers i've read about who get tested turn out fine too.

Try not to worry about it as hard as it is to believe they are normal. Also, they will increase if you concentrate on them too much. I got to a point where i could actually almost make them happen from getting worked up.

Do you jerk off?

What do you think of my post about "help me - fear of masturbation"

December 2013 I started having palpitations, had a pulse 126 bpm at rest and over 200bpm after walking a short distance I thought my sertraline I was taking, was a placebo and that my usual Decaf t-bags had been put into the wrong box at the factory where they are made!!!!!!

My whole body shook, couldn't drive cos my feet wouldn't be still, couldn't wear my mascara for fear of me poking my eyes with the mascara brush!!!!! Couldn't sleep, was like the bed was shaking....awful!!!!

Went to see a GP, a Locum, mine was on Holiday. He said 'it's more than likely your anxiety, cos it's nearly xmas, but I'll take blood anyway' and he prescribed Propanol, a beta-blocker.

5 days later I got a phone call from my usual GP ' your Thyroid levels are through the roof, you have an over-active Thyroid. I've referred you to a specialist'.

My pulse was fast but regular.

So if in doubt get your GP to run some blood tests to include a Thyroid function test.

Good luck
