Swelling under right eye

For the last week in the mornings under my right eye is swollen. My eyes look much smaller and I've been putting it down to my age. I am 51. But it is quite sore and worrying. Has anyone had experience of this and is a visit to the doctors recommended.

Ive been having some puffiness for a week beneath eye and sometimes the upper lid but I am having sinus issues.
