Hey now,

I'm too young for this, haha. I'm a 22 years old guy suffering from a massive case of health anxiety. Borderline stroke-causing (definitely causing headhaches and weakness when I get a particularly strong fear).

My progression was probably usual. Went from depression to social anxiety then to general anxiety for a little bit and then to health anxiety. At least the previous ones have cleared up!

Also, one other thing that strongly contributed to this is my history with benzo abuse. Post-acute benzodiazepine withdrawal causes high levels of anxiety...

One more thing: For a couple of months, I went from specialist to specialist back in... Was it 2012? Somewhere around there. Although they didn't say it at the time, they all thought I had cancer, then it turned out a harmless EBV infection was mimicking signs of cancer (swollen but not painful lymph nodes and stuff).

It seems there are no more days when I don't think about some potentially deadly illness anymore. Well, I say that, but I definitely won't get this looked at because it is slowly but surely getting better...

I've spent months last year worrying I have liver disease until I got it checked out. Before that, leukemia. Before that, who knows anymore.

Right now yellow BMs worry me (could be liver, gallbladder or pancreas related, either inflammation or cancer - then again it could just be GERD related...).
