Hello, I started taking Propanolol for the first time today, I've been put on 40mg once a day, after having severe panic attacks since Friday last week (I've had anxiety since I can remember, but it probably stems from when I lost my Dad at 2, along with other things growing up).

My question is; I've had flu-like symptoms since Friday last week, and they've got continuously worse, I'm on Antibiotics at the moment and also on Co-codamol, I've taken 1 tablet of Propranolol, my heart's not beating out of my chest like I'm so used to it doing, I feel really relaxed (but too relaxed for me, if that makes sense?), but I'm now worrying that I'm not normal and I'm worried that if I try and sleep now, I'm not going to wake up :(

Is it all in my head? Or is the tablet having an adverse effect on me and my body? :(

I feel like a burden if I call the doctors again as I've had 4 appointments this past week alone :(

Also, I feel like I keep going dizzy when I look at screens, is that normal? or is that to do with the flu symptoms? D:

Have you got this virus that's going round or are you taking antibiotics for something else

Think it's for the virus, I've got; Headaches, nausea, constipation, runny nose, chesty cough & get dizzy spouts.

Then I would definitely say the symptoms are connected to the virus, propropanal are a very safe medication and as you are feeling poorly any way this is why you are putting two and two together and getting five, once bug has cleared you will feel better

Thank you for your advice, I kinda just needed to hear it from someone else, my anxiety's never been this bad and it's scaring me like crazy :(

I will say that it might not be a bad idea to ring your local pharmacy and ask about the interaction between all the meds you are taking and how to take them
