are gallstones bad do they cause cancer?

I was wondering if gallstones are dangerous i have one gallstone got 2 ultrasounds on it and it was still small they said i don't have to worry but i still worry it it will be dangerous anyone know?

I reckon if they caused it, gall bladder cancer wouldn't be as rare as it is! Nothing to worry about, especially if they said not to. <3

No, gallstones don't cause cancer. They can be very painful, especially if they are large or you get them frequently enough - in that case, they'd remove your gallbladder to save you the pain. If they're small, not terribly painful, or very infrequent, they'll just be inconvenient but you'll be just fine :)

I see gallstone issues often as I work in an ER.. Where I live it's so common because of the high fat foods in my area. Sometimes the gallstones are small enough to be dissolved by medication. If they said not to worry about it, try not to. I know its hard. But trust your doctor.
