It could be all manner of things , posture and length of time sat at a computer being two common ones .

When you're anxious , you hold yourself very tightly and that can tense any muscles, those being most common.

Massage, yoga, exercise and warm bath help

Hi Leanne,

Yes I have all of the above and it hurts constantly. Mine is part anxiety and part fibromyalgia but you have to hurt other places for it to also be fibro. I try to soak in hot tubs and I use a heating pad alot. I also try and stretch during the day. Meg's advice on the yoga sounds good. I can't do massages as they make my fibro worse but if I were you I would give that a go. Hope you feel better soon.

I have this All the time! I believe mine is related to stress and anxiety. Sometimes it's real bad and other times it's just mildly tight. It's tight every day though. My husband will rub it and this makes it feel better-for a while anyway. Sometimes I try to rub it myself and this helps to relieve it somewhat. Mine can get pretty bad, but I've just learned to live with it I guess.
