Right sides pain

Trying not to assume appendix. Right side by hip. Almost feel like it's on the front top of my hip bone. Hurts around to my back. How can I tell if it's appendix or a muscle pain?

If it were appendix you would 1. Have a fever 2. Have sharp significant pain. 3. Feel vomitus or be vomiting. 4. Be bent over. You'll know if its serious. It is probably muscular. Take a couple of pain relief tabs and see if that helps. btw, i'm not a doctor but had my appendix removed.
