Prescribed Fluconazole for thrush, scared of taking it...

I was told a few years ago that I have an irregular heartbeat and due to high anxiety I don't take any medication as it makes my anxiety worse. I have recently been prescribed Fluconazole due to repetitive thrush but I am scared of taking it because it says not to take if you have an irregular heartbeat. Has anyone taken this and had ANY side effects from it? Or has anyone with an irregular heartbeat taken it?

Did your GP know about your irregular heartbeat?

I would ask a pharmacist whether it should be completely avoided or whether its ok under GP supervision as many say that its just that they shouldn't be taken without supervision where there are contraindications.

Failing that, I would contact your GP. Its just that pharmacists have more knowledge.
