my ears feel like there is pressure in them and they feel extremly sensitive to noises...sometimes drives me crazy...hope it goes away.

i get a blocked sensation in ear and, general ear ache flitting between BOTH ears, pressure and also when I have really loud noise too near to my ear, it leaves a kind of buzzing in my ears that lasts for a few seconds!

is this anxiety...im trying not to think to much bout it but cant help but worry.

has any1 else experienced this too.

thankyou

Yes I get this it seems to just be my left ear though. It feels really full, like sinus pressure. I think it is anxiety, it seems strange that anxiety can cause such strange sensations.
It feels like I need to pop my ears to clear it. It doesn't effect my hearing though.

Since having anxiety i have problems with my ears. Buzzing and ringing and they also shut off. Affects my balance terribly. Saw an ECT specialist who said my tubes could be blocked but there was nothing they could do. When everywhere is quiet it is very much worse! Drives me crazy. Especially when it knocks my balance off because i fear passing out or falling over.

It takes a minute to get anxiety, but a lifetime to get rid of it!!!

I can relate to this too!!

My symptoms are exactly as you describe. Had antibiotics drops from GP which tends to relieve it but it comes back pretty quickly!!

It can make me feel quite tense in a noisy environment, particulary where there are many noises as opposed to one constant loud one!!!

What's so funny about peace, love and understanding?

I got an awful bout of this today, so was pleased to see that I'm not alone. I've had it lot's of times before, but I can't help having a panic each time it happens!

Apparently, if you are particularly tense in the neck the muscles constricting can prevent drainage through from your ears etc. Also, I find tenseness in the neck and shoulders and as a result blood pressure changes can heighten the level of tinnitus too. I get worse tinnitus when I've been for a run and the bloods pumping!!

I find chewing gum helps, it relaxes your jaw and neck muscles, and will also help any trapped fluid drain away.

Hi Sam21.

This is a subject very close to my heart!! For fifteen months now, I have had similar issues to you...After many tests and doctors appointments, it is now apparent that I have a neck and shoulder problem, which results in my neck muscles (to be precise, the sternocleidomastoid!) go into spasm, causing me to get a blocked left ear, then dizziness, then my sinuses get bunged up etc.
I regularly see an osteopath now, who really helps. When I first saw her and described my symptoms, she said she could see exactly what was happening and explained everything to me, which noone had ever done before. I burst into tears with relief, as I really had been through a rough time thinking I had something terrible wrong with me! I see her once every six weeks or so now, but I have also taken up Pilates, which really helps stretch out those tense muscles, and build up strength in them so they don't flare up so often.
So, try and relax those tense muscles! They prevent fluids draining in your ears, hence the blockages and full feeling. Perhaps an osteopath would be able to help you?

Take care, Amber x

I have had ringing in my ears almost constantly since I started getting panics and when the panic is really bad my ears feel blocked and full and they ring or pop - I'm going to try the chewing gum thing to help it, thats a new one for me - but it is normal - its to do with blood pressure raising - I don't know if anyone gets this but when my ears start playing up - my sinuses hurt too - this is also to do with blood pressure and the 'pumping' that your heart does during panics and with anxiety.
