I almost fainted twice today.

Just started taking the full celexa pill, after 4 days of taking half a pill. While I was bagging stuff at work my arms started feeling very weak and I could swear I almost fainted. It happened a second time when I went to go put something back in the fridge. Could the citalopram have caused this? I also have been having shortness of breath at random times even when I'm not anxious, but it seems to be going away, even slightly.

Definitely start-up side effects. Citalopram lowers your blood pressure which can make you dizzy, particularly when getting up out of chair or off the floor. This should pass with a little time. Check with your GP if you are really worried.
