I suffer from emetaphobia (fear of vomiting), health anxiety and OCD.
I'm on 225mg venlafaxine but want to ask my new GP when I see her this week for a med to take PRN.
While I don't have classic panic attacks, I do occasionally get very anxious and feel sick/racing heart/diarrhoea and if that continues I begin to feel so nauseous I feel as though I could be sick which obviously due to my phobia is not good.
I have some Valium from when I had to fly and so use 15mg of that if I think the anxiety is going to escalate, but need to sort something as am nearly out.
What is best and how do you get your doc to prescribe PRN meds? My old (retired) doctor wasn't keen (though did once give me chloropromazine which I wasn't overly impressed with).
I just want to something to chill me out and/or send me to sleep (as by sleeping I break the cycle of anxiety before it escalates)....
