hi people,

I've had panic disorder for 8 1/2 years since having post-natal depression, and coping fairly well at the moment. However I am dependant on anti-depressants to keep the panic attacks at bay and sometimes get depressed because I know I could be on tablets forever. I would love to be medication-free but every time I try to come off the tablets the panic attacks come back. I would love to learn how to beat the anxiety so I can get off the tablets.

Hi sneezy,

Welcome.
I dont take medication, but im finding im slowly getting better.
I wont go anywhere without my mobile phone and bachs rescue remedy.
I dont go out alone yet but can go out with my friend and my daughter even tho they dont drive.
I think if i have a panic attack while im out i can easily phone a taxi to get me home.
Im sure you will get some useful advice from this site and make friends with people who really do understand what your going through.

Not on meds myself although i've been prescribed them. Trying to tackle anxiety without them, but at some point i feel i will hve to start on them.
