poo question(sorry)

Hi all, need some advice, I'm doing really well, but still check things, my most recent one is when I went to the loo yesterday and today(poo), when iwipe I noticed very small reddish specks, now I eat tomato based food pretty much every day, could it be this or do you think its blood, I have in the past suffered from a anal fissure which is prone to bleeding, but this was like it was in the poo, i have had it before, sorry for tmi, anyway someone please reply, thanx xx

Tomato based food will do that. I too have had it!

It'll be the skin from the tomato. You can't digest everything fully, and things like skin and certain seeds/nuts/corn can show themselves - that's all it is.

If i eat anything red it tends to come out in specks, especially red pepper - turns my whole poop red. Also I noticed black specks in poop but realised it was passionate fruit seeds!!!

Tomato sounds about right, my dog even gets little bits like that in his from the red bits in his food.
