Getting scared

Hi everyone,

I am waiting for some results today from an MRI that I had on Monday due to bppv. They were checking the ears and also for a tumour that can grow on one of the nerves near the ear.

They should be calling me within the next couple of hours and I am starting to panic.

I'm not really expecting bad news, but always a possibility.

I will let you know how the results turn out.

Thankyou everyone. You are all so supportive and I appreciate it so much.

I ended up calling the ent late yesterday afternoon as I hadn't heard from him. My results were in but he hadn't looked at them.

So I have to wait until this afternoon now as he is in theatre all morning.

This is torture. If only they knew what we go through.

I think I know what sort of tumour you are talking about, and they are always benign, aren't they? Not a nice thought, but they are exceedingly slow growing as well, I think - I looked into these when I had bad tinnitus and hearing loss. Let us know how your results are. Seeker[^]

Well I rang the ent again yesterday as I hadn't heard anything and still he had not looked at the results.

The receptionist knew that I had been worried and so she told me that I didn't have a tumour and that they would've contacted me by now if there was something there. I knew that but my brain didn't.

So I am just waiting now for the rest of the results.

I finally got the results from the MRI. They are all clear.

I am going to be hitting this anxiety on the head now.

I just started crying tonight for no reason. But I think they are relief tears cause I feel really good.

I should've went months ago for the MRI.
