drinking on propanolol and sertraline

Hi, is it ok to have glass or two of wine whilst taking both propanolol and sertraline?

hi kelly..not sure about those meds but i am on 200mg trazadone and 5mg olanzipine and drink at the weekends,a bottle of wine dsnt do me any harm.sometimes tho the next day i feel a bit more anxious.i think it is prob recomended not to drink on ANY meds but i know of plenty that do...read the lable on your meds or research online for the details of drinking while on meds

The following are from the drug manufacturers.

Avoid drinking alcohol, which could increase drowsiness and dizziness while you are taking propranolol.

Using sertraline together with alcohol can increase nervous system side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid the use of alcohol while being treated with sertraline.

That's it right there. Some may argue to the contrary but quite simply, anxiety and alcohol don't mix.
