Third day on Propanolol still really anxious

I take seroxat 20mg. Saw my GP on Friday who prescribed 40mg propanolol 2 to 3 times a day. I stil feel really anxious is this normal???

Anxiety doesn't just come from adrenaline. Remember the minds thoughts are also responsible for this. The propranolol will ease your physical symptoms only not the mental ones. Obviously the easing of physical symptoms by itself can help your mental wellbeing also but give your body time to recover.

I have been on this meds a week on Weds 40mg x 3 times a day and have had horrible anxiety today but my GP made me go cold turkey off Lorazepam/swapped to Diazepam for a month. I was taking 10mg of the Diaz and he said he was giving me the Beta blocker instead from now on. So I probs am going through WD which I dunno would be much worse without the Prop. Does this work better the more you take it or instant? The only side effect I have is tiredness yet I am waking up really early.
