Hi ant12, maybe you have a slight infection, cause of the mucus, when my anxiety was really bad I had burning in my chest, try not to worry, its def not lung cancer, my grandad had it, and believe me he went down hill pretty fast, massive weight loss, constent hacking cough, coughing up gross stuff and generally really poorly, you could see he was I'll, you sound fine, please don't worry xx

Hi,

You mention that you feel lost and worried. Don't be. Many of us on this thread feel exactly the same way.

You also mentioned that you have previously had 2 scans that have come back clear. How recent were they?

It sounds to me like you have a slight infection, that's all.

Loss of appetite can be caused by infection and stress/anxiety.

I think you should see a doctor for your peace of mind, because you will only end up worrying.

Toby :hugs:

Hi thank you for the reply I have had blood tests X2 and 2 xrays all came back clear. I don't feel hungry and really try to eat but feel awful, i think I have ibs on top of all this. Dr think I am depressed and giving me tranquilisers. :-(

Depression can make you lose your appetite, as can anxiety, when I was in the grips of my anxiety over Xmas, I actually had to force food down my throat, so don't worry about loss of appetite, its totally normal with anxiety, as for IBS and anxiety they tend to go hand in hand with each other, I think most people who suffer from anxiety have tummy troubles, as for your clear x ray results, I would take that as you are totally well, x rays will show shadows on the lungs, and if that's found they send your for more test, so please take the clear results as you being totally fine xx

Your chances of having lung cancer are minimal to none. Im willing to bet it's an infection.
