Hi everyone ive been on meds for last 3 years but am going back on sertraline now and my anxiety is worst its been in 3 years. I had 2 panic attacks yesterday which I dont normally get, they terrified me. I have a massive fear of going crazy or being hospitalised. Im worried im not going to function to care for my children, please help me rationalise

Talk to your gp right away, they may give you a box of something to help you manage the sides till they settle down. They are horrible with sert, the worst of any anti d ive been on. I'm not sure you can rationalise it as its just brain chemistry changes from starting a new med that will happen to most people.

Yes your GP will be able to give you some Diazepam to get you through the first few weeks of the start up side effects. They won't hospitalise you unless they absolutely have to!.. trust me, two years ago I was in a pysch ward with acute anxiety.
