Escitalopram & Mirtazapine

Hello :),

Intro.

My daily drugs are:
in the morning or after I woke up I take Escitalopram 5mg.
at night or when I plan to sleep I take Mirtazapine 30mg.

Why:
Before Escitalopram: I was irritable and impatient. Plus bad mood.
After Escitalopram: Helping me to stay calm and consistent. Plus good mood.

Before Mirtazapine: I was having difficulty to sleep and to fall in sleep.
After Mirtazapine: Helping me to sleep better.

My Note:
I feel I am okay and better with those two drugs, much better than before, I can control my daily life and control my sleep.

My issues:
Even I am happy with those two drugs, still I am worry about two things:
1) Sexual dysfunction. Even I take tiny doses, still that thing is dead in me.
2) My eyes after I woke up, there is swelling under my eyes. That remains all the day, happened often to hear that "you just woke up now?"


Any suggestions, would be appreciated. :bighug1:

Hi, I wouldn't worry too much about the sexual dysfunction side. I reckon much of that is down to your anxiety - it's hard to get horny when suffering from nervous illness. Oh, and don't take mirt BEFORE sex - I made that mistake only once, and to my girlfriend at the time, it was probably like shagging a zombie.

Thanks for the reply, so who is it could be cause sexual dysfunction, Escitalopram or Mirtazapine, both?

Any way, before those drugs I was have sexual appetite.
