This is not guided visualization, that is something else.
I used to have claustrophobic triggers that would wake me in the middle of the night with a panic attack. A common one was being stuck in a culvert. Another was being stuck under a truck. Panic exaggerated the situation. I was a welder, I have welded rungs in a culvert, I have welded under a truck. It never bothered me. So when I woke in a panic because the covers were tight or the cat was crowding me and I thought I was in one of these tight spaces, I would visualize myself as a little mouse sitting in the culvert or tight space and make the space bigger till I could sit in it as me and watch the world go by. As I calmed I could add a pleasant one from the past like sitting under my canoe as it rained waiting for it to quit. A confined space but not one I couldn't leave. Other people I mentioned this to have told me of their visualizations and that it works for them too.
