Debating whether or not to have an engagement party/night out

Me and my bf got engaged 2 years ago after being together for 4 years then. We couldn't afford to have a celebration when we got engaged and now 2 years on, we do have some money to spare and haven't seen a lot of friends in a while or had a night out in a while so was wondering on whether or not we should have a little party/night out. Nothing too fancy or expensive. Just wondering if its too late for that. We wont be having a stag or hen night as we have never fancied them plus all our friends are pretty much guys and they can't go on a hen night! lol

That's it booked! 23rd May :D we're classing it more as a joint hen/stag night since all our friends are the same people anyway.

I'm excited but typical me, the nerves are kicking in already!
