i recently went for routine blood tests at my health centre and was told if i didnt hear anything the everything was fine...but today i got a letter asking me to get the blood tests done again and i have to fast for at least 10 hours before i get them done.

My anxiety has kicked in now...does anyone know what these new tests are for?...unfortunately my health centre is closed for a few days over easter so i can't contact them till Tuesday.
Thanks,John

A fasting blood test is typically to check cholesterol, triglycerides and other aspects that can be affected by what you've eaten. By fasting, they'll get the most accurate readings.

So, most likely something was off due to what you consumed prior to the first test. I've had it happen... no biggie.
