Hi, I have seasonal allergies and lately my throat has felt like it is closing up. It even looks swollen, and my uvula touches my tongue. I'm really worried that it will close up all the way and I will die. Is this possibke with seasonal allergies or is it just a sensation?

Hi Liv,

I have been getting this for the past week and it is a very scary experience. Essentially I'm getting random bouts of pressure/tightening in my glands and around my adams apple everyday which make me feel like I can't breath. Along with this I have a sore throat and my sinuses feel a bit congested.

I'm hoping it is just as you say, allergies and a bit of anxiety - I have an appointment with my GP this afternoon and will let you know the outcome. For the time being, I would suggest trying some hay fever relief / decongestant.
