So about 5 weeks ago I came out in this rash. It started on my back. It sort of starts as a rashy boil then scabs over and leaves a white centre with a ring rash around it. I went to the doctors and they said it was infected ezcema or however you spell it and gave me fucibet cream and antibiotics. Went back as it wasn't getting any better it was getting worse, was given my usual antihistamines didn't help so went back again and they referred me to dermatology. I had skin scrapes, pictures taken of the unsightly lesions/rashes, blood tests and a biopsy. Went back recently to be told very likely mild discoid lupus so it's various creams and factor 50 sun cream but again it's getting worse. It's now in my left eye which is bad so doctor is getting me an appointment with the eye specialist. She said I should have an appointment by wednseday so tomorrow. The worry is as I'm visually impaired and only have vision in my left eye which is the eye the rash is in if they don't get me seen fast I could might lose what vidion I have. If it was in my right eye I wouldn't give a monkeys.

How about lyme disease.

We ruled that out especially as I haven't been bit by ticks and non have been on my dog. It gets worse in the sun.

Sounds like lupus then, do you have the butterfly rash across your nose.

There are bacterial forms of arthritis, but that does sound like lupus.

I noticed that starting last week. The famous lupus butterfly rash. My aunty has systemic lupus. Her rash is a nightmare in the sun too. I have another appointment at dermatology on monday.
