Since January I have developed a massive fear of DVT and PE for no apparent reason. It's controlling my whole life. Every leg pain I think is a DVT, if I'm short of breath or have slight chest pain I instantly think it's a PE. The other day I thought I had a blood clot in my leg because of a bruise. Now I have a tight crampy right calf and I'm really scared that it's a blood clot. I have no risk factors but I have quite low vitamin B12 and now I'm so paranoid. Over the past few months I've had about 8 d dimers which have all come out really low and a couple of ultrasounds which were both negative too. However, I keep thinking that something else must have developed since the last test! My last d dimer was nearly a month ago and it was very negative. Somebody help please, it's taking over everything. I've dropped out of school and I'm constantly concentrated on my legs and chest.
