Hey all,
I'm 18 yrs old. Have always been myopic. Now I have -6.5 in one eye and -5 in other. I went to doctor a couple of days ago to get my eyes checked. He prescribed me some tablets. I started having them. But after this I stared feeling unsteady. It's not vertigo as I don't find things moving around me. I suddenly started noticing floaters too. I know they were always there but now I've started getting worried about them. I never had bad headaches nor seizures. It's just I see something double for past 8 yrs. Like if I'm focusing on something other things in the back ground seem double. all other times my vision seems ok as i dont see people with two faces.
Is my case is of brain tumour?

Sounds more like an eye problem and possibly some side affects from whichever medication you were placed on. If you'd had a brain tumour for 8 years you'd know all about it by now. Eye floaters are caused by the vitreous gel in your eye coming loose and casting shadows on your retina, they have absolutely nothing to do with the brain or the occipital lobe.

Sometimes I too think that I'm something else!

What sort of doctor gave you medication to take to make your eye muscles stronger? Was it your GP?

Thank you so much for replying.
I googled about this weird double vision thing and came to know its normal. I've been like hell worried for several days. I've googled everything about brain tumour and came to know that bad headaches are the very first symptoms of it. But I never had bad headaches. My concentration is also good. No problems work speech and hearing as well. Just these vision problems were making me anxious. And now when I suddenly started feeling unsteady I just freaked out.

I went to a eye specialist.
He checked my eye. Dilated them and checked them I think to make sure there isn't any pressure inside the eye. He was looking quite satisfied after examining me. He asked me to have LASIK once this eye side stop progressing. For that he gave me those medicines to make eye muscles better I guess.

Actually pain is not one of the first symptoms of a brain tumour. Stop googling and go back to your doctor.

Thanks for advice
I'll definitely go and check what the hell is wrong with me.

Yes good idea. If you told the eye specialist everything you wrote in yout OP then I'm sure he would have done a very thorough investigation of your eyes. Also, he would have referred you for other tests if he was concerned. Still you should mention everything you wrote in your OP to your GP.
