So I recently found out that what I thought was a long term yeast infection is actually a cureable STD known as trichonomiasis. I had some very awkward conversations with my exes, took a full dose of the antibiotics, and felt about 99% better, but now that I've been off of them a few days my symptoms are coming back :(
I'm going to make an appointment to discuss this with my doctor tomorrow, but my brain keeps jumping to the worst case scenarios; what if I can't get rid of it because my immune system is weakened by something like HIV, what if this turns out to be antibiotic resistant, etc. etc.
I haven't had sex is almost a year, so there is no way that I am being reinfected by an untreated partner. I know that this is one of the most contagious, common, and curable STDs out there, but it's freaking me out that it doesn't seem totally gone.
Worry, worry, worry. Help me make it stop, guys.
