I've got to the magic number. I decided on Saturday to start a blog. Never really done anything like this. Not even my family know I suffer to the extent I do. Not sure how it will go. But in all my years of being like this, and reading " these cure anxiety or my method " but pay me money. You all know the ones I mean. That's another blog on the list, as it a con out to trick people who's nerves are tricking already. Here is the link

Yes, I agree. Its interesting to see how severe somatoform disorders can get. The one about the blindness, I think, sounds like hysterical blindness. Maybe it has been reclassified this way?

I found this part interesting:

In 2011, three GP practices in London identified 227 patients with the severest form of psychosomatic symptom disorder. These 227 constituted just 1% of those practice populations – but estimates suggest up to 30% of GP encounters every day are with patients who have a less severe form of the illness. If psychosomatic symptoms are so ubiquitous, why are we so ill equipped to deal with them?

This covers all of us with anxiety disorders but the bulk is going to be HA who visit much more frequently. It would have been nice is the author had explained a bit more about these cases to see if they were as serious as the ones explained in detail or whether they are severe due to the anxiety levels involved.

The lack of compassion demonstrated for the first lady by the students would have annoyed me.

The more I read it, the more in made question my thought pattern.

Yeah would love to see more data re the others to see what sort of mental health issues they had, but guess selling the book is the reason, with again a guess the 3 biggest stories.

Would of really got me angry the students.

Saw you reply re Little Book Of Mindfulness

So I got it on my kindle. Not read it yet, but will do over the next few days.

Let us know what its like when you've had a look. I wouldn't mind getting a copy myself so I thought I would see what happens on that thread first. I could do with a 10 minute style book and one of the most famous ones gets some bad reviews for it being a bit too preachy as the author is a former minister/vicar I think so I'm not keen on that one.
