Pinching pains? PLEASE Help!!!!!!!

Hi everyone

Just wondered if anyone has anything like this?

I've had a number of pinching type pains over the past month that last a few mins to an hour on and off.

The one I worry about is (of course my left arm!) at the top underside front of my arm by the armpit but i have them in my gums less frequently, also sometimes the backs of my legs, also my other arm occasionaly too.

They do hurt but not massively severe or anything - they don't last long but while they do it's like someone is pinching me! Bit scary - went to the docs today she said def not angina but didn't know what it was. Any ideas anyone?

Along with anx, I am being treated for persistent aching jaws, cheekbones and head which has been found to be bruxism (teeth grinding at night) and I have all manner of pressure type headaches which are directly caused from that - does anyone else get pressure headaches like someone is pushing on your head cos it may be your jaws clenching/ grinding?

I went to dentist today too (arrrghhhh) and was fitted for a shield to wear at night.... nice! Hope this stops the headaches and facial pain but the pinching has me stumped!!!

I would be grateful for any help!

hi there,

that is so weird, because i have had that pinching sensation too. it's as though someone is pinching just under my left armpit. when i first happend i thought it was a bit strange but i have been having so many strange symptoms that i knew that it was from anxiety.

i also get the tension/pressure headaches, i have been having them constantly for the last 12 days, they aren't really that painful i can just feel this pressure around my head, on top of it. my face and scalp also gets tingly and it feels as though my face is heating up. my neck and back muscles are also incredibly stiff. this is all down to tension.
do you ever get the heat or tingly sensations?

Hi emma - Thanks for your reply - i reckon it must be another anx symptom! And oh yes :) i get the tingles alright!

I get strange tingles on my head, sometimes cold sensations - sometimes hot, hot tingles almost like red hot pin pricks up and down my arms (sometimes legs too) and on my face... and when i have a panic attack i get tingles on my face (lip jaw and chin mostly) that feel numb!

Also i get really cold clammy hands and feet too!

I suppose the pinching is anx related (although i would someone to explain why it happens! especially in my gums!) - but i've had anx for almost a year and the pinching is new and i always worry about new symptoms!

Claire - I also get numbness in my lip and chin when I'm having a panic attack - glad to hear of someone else who has this as at times I feel I'm having a stroke!

Yeah the gum shield looks so sexy i'm considering getting some in different colours to match my contact lenses! (NOT!!!!!)

Hi..
I have that flipping pinching feeling, but mine is more in the TOP of my LEFT arm (OF COURSE) in my muscle!! Feels like someone is squeezing me.

Hi Sarah - that's where mine is, in the muscle at the topabout 3 inches from my arm pit! Weird eh? Thanks for your message - i can now write it off as ANOTHER weird sympton of anx!!!
