Is oral thrush serious? :(

Hi everyone, I think I have developed oral thrush from anti biotics I took just over a week ago. I've had a bad taste in my mouth since I finished them and I have this horrible white coating on my tongue. I know that it can be easily treated. So i'll go to the pharmacy or the doctor tomorrow.

I just want to know, can it be serious? Because i'm fretting I haven't caught it in time and i'll get really ill :(
