BAD anxiety over dad having to go into surgery tomorrow

Hey guys,

I'm a nervous wreck at the moment. Can't stop crying and worrying about my dad. He's getting a procedure done tomorrow because of his kidney stones. It's called Ureteroscopic stone removal, which requires him to be put to sleep.

I am SO worried about him having to go to sleep as I'm scared he won't wake up. My grandpa (his father) didn't wake up after surgery when I was very young, which is definitely one of the main reasons I am worried.

Anyone ever gotten this procedure done?

The risks associated with this procedure are very small, they all involve very small possibilities of bleeding or infection. I understand your concerns, it's never a nice thought to think of a parent going under anaesthetic, but the surgical team know what they're doing, and it's bread and butter for them, it really is.

Try not to worry too much, he'll be fine.
