Hi guys,

I need some advice and support. I have suffered with excessive acid and last year was tested and confirmed i have a esophageal dysmotility disorder.

I am suffering with very dry mouth and constant fullness feeling in my throat, I am worrying all the time about erosion the oesophagus but the doctor won't do any further testing as they say the acid damage won't change much in a short space of time.

I am worrying that the acid is burning my oesophagus and that i will get cancer or the pre cancerous condition of barrets oesophagus.

Is there anyone on the forum who suffers with the same or has had surgery for these issues? i have been offered an operation for a nissen fundoplication but surgery scares me too. every morning its a battle to cough up mucus and breath properly. The docs don't seem to want to check my throat or send me for another endoscopy.

Any advice would be great. Feels like i am living a nightmare at the minute!! :weep:
