View Full Version : Is that what panic attacks are like?

Hey..

I have been feeling stressed for some time and I talked with a friend about it today. This friend has been diagnosed with generalised anxiety disorder/panic disorder and he thinks that what I'm experiencing could be panic attacks.
I never feel scared, so I never considered my feelings being anxiety related. But maybe I have a wrong idea of what anxiety is or what panic feels like.
I have been feeling tense for a while and four or five months ago I had a really bad argument with my ex and afterwards I completely freaked out. I threw up and I felt like I couldn't breathe properly and I was shaky for hours.
It never was that bad again but I sometimes think too much and then I feel stressed and get nervous and tense and I feel dizzy, my vision gets weird and my chest feels tight. Sometimes I can't breath properly and sometimes I feel like I have to throw up.
Is that what panic attacks feel like? Even though I don't feel scared, just stressed?

Anxiety attack, with a panic attack there should be fear for no known reason.
