ativan/lorazepam for stress relief

today at the clinic i was prescribed 0.5 mg (40 doses) of lorazepam for anxiety reduction, since lately i have been experiencing physical symptoms of stress. i took one and i feel pretty good compared to the past few days, but i am still having brain zaps/head pains. i know that they're from tense muscles and stress but i was just wondering when i can expect them to go away? or will ativan just reduce them but not get rid of them? also, will my mood, sleep schedule, and appetite normalize quickly? ): the good news is it got rid of the warmth in my face, the jitters, and my rashes already.

it should have been Diazapam. you can't stay on Ativan.

Be very careful. These drugs are for short term only, could be a few weeks or a few months at maximum otherwise you get addicted to them, and you need a higher dose to maintain the affect which is strongly not advisable by any GP .

They are usually very effective but I stress, short term only.
