afraid doing things will cause diseases

I'm having a hard time today with fearing if i do something it will cause a disease.I watched a movie and i couldn't even enjoy i was worrying that i'll get cancer because someone i knew saw some of it crazy thought i know but i always get thoughts like this i'm afraid to do anything any know any advice

This is an issue seen in OCD called Magical Thinking. I suffer from it myself.

Please a look at this workbook and especially the Behavioural Experiments because these give you ideas of how you can test your beliefs. It won't cure them, thats takes a lot of time but you can use these frequently to try to break up those current irrational beliefs:

Use them to not only prove that you cannot cause something to happen by doing nothing but also that by actually doing them you achieve nothing either.

That's interesting. I have similar thoughts and have never come across anyone who is the same, although obviously lots of people have HA and/or OCD
