I had a mole removed from my leg just over a month ago.

I'd had the mole for many years, and as far as I'm aware never changed. The surgeon who removed it was pretty confident that it was nothing to worry about.

However I went to see the consultant a few days ago who told me that my results were unavailable due the mole needing a second opinion at another hospital. She would give no indication at all whether this was anything to be worried about or not, other than to say it happens every 2 or 3 months.

I was already worried about getting my results, but this has made me even more worried now.

Has anybody else here experienced anything similar?

I'm waiting on a biopsy myself. I think sometimes the biopsy isn't 100% clear so they may send it off. This happened to me with one I had about 20 years ago. They couldn't say for sure if it was cancerous . I'm sure that in 20 years they have gotten better. Hope you get good results soon.
