Kidney infection, kidney failure :(

I went to the docs a couple weeks ago as I had been feeling nauseous for 2-3 weeks. She did a urine test and I had a uti which she gave me antibiotics for.

I finished the antibiotics and still didn't feel right so I went back, doc gave me a diff antibiotic for 10 days as said seemed like kidney infection. Higher temp, nausea, sore legs and sides. Made appointment for another 2 weeks and she suggested I might need to get a scan, which scares me. I am on day 9 of antibiotics and still have the pain/nausea. Also noticed white lines on nails which can be sign of kidney failure. Also been shorter of breath.

Next appointment isn't until 17th and I'm freaking out.

Now I am very afraid I have kidney failure or cancer.

If your kidneys were failing right now you would be extremely poorly. The symptoms are overt- I know an older man who had it and he was rushed to hospital when it happened. I'll put it this way- I don't think you'd be on here if your kidneys were failing :) and the urinalysis would be very unusual.

My grandpa passed from kidney cancer and it was a similar situation.
