Hi, I'm new here.

No More Panic seems as though it's a good place for help and support for those of us who are new to Panic Disorder.

However, with this said, I'm not sure if what I'm continuing to experience (it's been 2 months of symptoms, mostly with my heart) is Panic Disorder.

There are several reasons for this, such as being located in a country where English isn't spoken and it being the only language I know, and living on a Vegan diet (possible Anemia, had blood tested today, results by 19/6) however this is very unlikely, it's been 11 years. I began taking a 1000 mcg B12 supplement today with B6 and Folic Acid, and am on 30 mg Mirtazapine before bed every night.

I don't drink, smoke, or take non-prescription drugs, and these symptoms have no theory because I have otherwise been in good physical health until they began.

I have had several tests throughout these 2 months and I can't get any answers. I'm contemplating going home temporarily to my country of birth where there may be less questions unanswered and more overall support.

The tests that I have had have been an inordinate number of blood tests and ECG's, a 24 hour ECG Holter, some type of Chest X-Ray, and an Echocardiogram. I am considering a BNP Blood Test on 19/6, followed by a Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI, and Stress Test.

I was discharged on 12/6 from a Hospital that I spent three weeks in and feel emaciated. The meals that I was served were not nutritionally acceptable for any diet, particularly for those of us who are on special diets like Vegan. Bf says that I have lost three to five kilograms in three weeks, and the close people in my life have had comparable reactions to my rapid weight loss.

I was an inpatient in another Hospital for a couple of weeks before, and was driven in to the Emergency department of another Hospital one time with feelings of fainting and the inability to eat more than a couple of mouthfuls of my meal at a restaurant. I don't have any history of Eating Disorders (possible Orthorexia) and a good relationship with food that 30 mg Mirtazapine has stimulated, thankfully.

I have been on more medication throughout these 2 months that I could possibly recall, though to my memory I have taken the following, in or out of the three Hospitals I have been in.

400 mg Advil, a couple of times for migraines in May
25 mg Atarax, a couple of times in May
Buscopan, a couple of times in May
10 mg Cetirizine, once in May
25 mg Cipralex, 27/5 at 9 am
80 mg Dominal Forte, once in May
Motrin, a couple of times in May
Passedan, a couple of times in May
25 mg Seroquel, 26/5 at 2 pm
Temesta, a couple of times in May/June, sub lingual and tablet
100 mg Trittico
0.5 mg Xanax, a couple of times in May
various liquid muscle relaxants

Here's the symptoms I have experienced throughout these 2 months.

Adult acne on face, clammy hands, hyperhydrosis
Atrophy in calves, blisters on both feet, burning all over body, feeling of poor circulation in calves, muscle spasms, numb hands, pins and needles, rigidity in muscles, tense muscles
Blood pressure fluctuations between high or more commonly low blood pressure, inability to lay flat
Back pain, bloating, bowel sounds, constipation, and stinky gas, stool that was at times forced and a couple of times was of a mucus consistency and yellow in colour
Blurred vision, migraines, tinnitus

Chest pain and tightness that was mostly coming from the left side and has progressed to the centre of my chest and my heart
I feel my pulse in other parts of my body like my hands and stomach and see them beating down and up
my heart doesn't feel as if it's beating strongly or functioning properly, fluctuations in heart beat like gallops, very weak heart beat
My family has a history of heart problems, particularly Atrial Fibrillation

Chronic insomnia, 4 weeks of complete inability to sleep from 10 pm until the afternoon
Confusion, disorientation
Coughing with 'asthmatic' sounds, dry lips and mouth, narrow throat, problems swallowing, sinus
Chronic loss of appetite, complete inability to eat until Mirtazapine 30 mg
Cramps, nausea
Fainting, weakness
Goosebumps, involuntary seizure-like shaking, shivering, teeth chattering (it's Summer time)

The chest/heart pain and tightness are my most consistent and painful symptoms, and for the last couple of days, coughing with 'asthmatic' sounds that are at times audible when I cough or inhale. I'm very tired today. There has been no break from any of the physical symptoms in this paragraph.

I don't have any reasonable answers for what's happening to me internally, and I don't know where or who to go to for help. I'm becoming increasingly worried, and I'm living in fear as my physical symptoms are worsening.

This is why I have registered to No More Panic, where I hope all of us find healing, peace, and strength.

I live in the hope of my symptoms being Panic Disorder, so if any of the above is comparible to anything you have been through, please reply. I'm glad to elaborate on my symptoms, etc

It's nice to meet you.

Sounds like health anxiety to me. The fact that you have listed every symptom and every med makes me think you are paying an unhealthy amount of attention to your health. I assume you're in Austria since your flag is Austrian. They have a good health system, they would have caught something. If you had an echocardiogram and came out with a clean bill of health, then (and I am not a doctor) I doubt a cardiac mri and ct will find anything.

Maybe going back home and talking to a doctor there will help you, but eventually you have to believe nothing is wrong with your heart or cardiovascular system. Maybe you can eat better but otherwise there's probably nothing terribly wrong with you. Just anxiety.

Never mind anemia, pills can fix that being vegan are you getting enough foods with tryptophan in them and are you eating them with a carbohydrate if they don't have one. This is important yet neglected very often. Serotonin is made from Tryptophan. Melatonin is made from Serotonin.

Serotonin controls organ and muscle action in your body, not just thoughts in your brain.

Hi rsanchez, it's very likely that I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis or Hypothyroidism as the Dr's have discovered that there's a problem with my Thyroid. My blood test has shown Hypothyroidism, the Dr's will be testing the Antibodies now to see if it's Hashimoto's or an autoimmune disease.

Hi Davit, thanks for your thoughts. I do have low iron right now, however, it seems that the Hypothyroidism has caused this and is the culprit for many of my symptoms. I'm taking 1000 mcg B12 daily, and 80 mg Iron sulfate tablets. Good point about the Carbohydrates and Tryptophan, I will do my best to increase my intake if it's not adequate after I calculate what I on average consume daily. My diet has been poorer than ever for 9 weeks. I just hope that my body will be physically ok, I don't feel good at all. Very worried. I'm booked to fly home tomorrow on a 22 hour flight so that I receive specialist medical care before everything becomes worse.
