Help am I deffo gonna get sick? 2 year old vomiting bug

Hi guys he was sick started Monday night and was ok Tuesday but then threw up on me including on my face Wednesday morning. He hasn't been sick today but has had bad diorrhea and I am a nervous wreck waiting to get sick

I might be wrong, but I always thought there was some bugs that younger children suffer from but adults don't because they're immune systems are still young? I might be wrong
