Hi, I'm very worried about my twin sister. I'm so scared that she has a brain tumor or another serious disease because she is constantly getting headaches and currently has a sore throat and feels sick. She also says she is very nauseous and keeps throwing up in her mouth. She doesn't have a fever or anything and I'm very worried there's something wrong with her

I guess I worry about her a lot...sometimes more than I do about my own health! Is nausea with a sore throat common?

There are different possibilities but the right action, which everyone has probably said in the other threads as I can remember seeing one of them, is to consult a doctor about her issues.

Nausea can be caused by allsorts of things, including anxiety and we know she has asthma (or did) and had some breathing trouble/lightheadedness from physical exersion, so she needs to be considering whether her asthma is an issue again (and better medication needed or triggers assessing & tackling or both) and whether there is another cause.

The one you are worried about the most is the least likely, this is classic Cognitive Distortion and you could read about them so you can understand why your negative automatic thoughts are driving your worry.

Thanks for your reply. She has her yearly doctor appt coming up so I guess that's good. I know I'm worrying over nothing, but at the same time I can't stop getting anxious every time she complains about her sore throat
