thyroid medication causing anxiety anyone

Hi ,

to keep it short , I have quite severe anxiety symptoms since taking levothyroxine for hypothyroidism . I have been on them for 3 Months now and feel spaced out with odd dizziness . The GP says to persevere but its awful . Of course as I have health anxiety I worry that its something bad but he does his best to reasure me its anxiety and to stop worrying , easier said than done .

Some people on here have mentioned thyroid conditions making anxiety worse as well as the meds for them doing the same. Could it be too high a dose maybe? I know someone who increased and their anxiety went through the roof and their doctor said to reduce the med.

The doc is reluctant to reduce and is convinced the symptoms of anxiety will settle :mad: Id love him to have these symptoms just for an hour :D .

Did have a much better day yesterday though so maybe hes right . I seem to do better on my days off work when im not nightshirt that is , so sleep is very important it would seem .
