Panic Attacks Medication or Not

I am having frequent panic attacks usually when out of the house shopping etc (with my partner) The doc has said the only way to overcome this is to conquer it without medication. What do you think folks ?

This is very disabling as it has stopped me from driving (as I can start shaking) particularly in a queue at traffic lights etc. I really want to overcome this but I am struggling at present.

There are some safe medications. Propranolol gets rid of the shakes and a lot of anxiety but it is still a beta blocker so can lower blood pressure. Anxiety seldom goes on it's own, you have to make it go. You can do that on or off meds. Sometimes it is easier on meds.
