Citalopram and Metronidazole

Hello everyone

I am currently taking 30mg of Citalopram daily for an anxiety disorder and have just been prescribed Metronidazole by my dentist for a gum infection.

Has anyone had any bad experiences taking these medicines together? I have been told by a doctor that it's ok but due to my phobia of medicines I always worry!

If doc say it ok then should be. Why dont you google it. Thats what I do . X

Thanks. I did Google and found something that said they're not normally recommended to be taken together.

I would go with what your doctor said - he knows your specific situation, whereas the sites you found on Google don't. Your doctor probably thinks the benefits outweigh any risks (if they're not usually recommended to be taken together).
