I am 60 years old was diagnosed with Fibro in 2008 but had it longer, am waiting to see a specialist as my blood tests have indicated auto immune dificiency, I am also suffering with arthritis of the clavicles and costochondritis Recently the ribs just below the left side of my clavicle is excruitiatingly painful and nothing is helping my GP has referred me urgently to see a rheumatologist - just wondered if any of you suffer with the same type of pain in the same area?
I am looking forward to reading through the forums and getting to know you all.

Hi Lkay
I had chronic back pai since I had a car accident when I was young plus years of anxiety. I had also had costo for about a year and a half. I had months of physical therapy which hardly helped. I thought I would be on ibuprofen forever. The I was recommended an osteopath, he was fantastic, in 3 sessions he sorted it, that was about two years ago and hasn't hurt since.
The other thing I did was acupuncture and I have completely changed my diet. Have you read about diets for autoinmune disease? I have cut out gluten, sugar and dairy. I eat mainly organic.
To me the diet thing seemed like an impossible because my diet consisted of pasta and chocolate basically.
Do you take D-Ribose for your fibro?
Xxx

I've had costochondritis for a few months following on from a whiplash injury last year. Again I'll say that osteopathy has really improved my condition and I can manage to control the pain now without meds.
