hi,

Anyone have an idea which foods can boost serotonin levels?

Cheers

I want to go up to my anxiety, smile, put my arm around it and say to it caringly, 'Hey! How are you? How's your day been?'

Then, just as its about to answer me, I wanna throw a sack over it and give it a hiding within an inch of its life.

That would be nice.

Hi!
I found an interesting article in last week's Times supplement on seratonin boosting foods which include products that contain Omega 3s, like oily fish and Omega 3 enriched milk and eggs; meat and meat-substitutes, like tofu, that contain a protein called L-tyrosine, which helps produce dopamine and noradrenaline, "happy chemicals". They also recommended fruit and veg and grains. I've also recently seen a book in Waterstones that claims to cure depression through diet-sorry I can't remember anything more. I'm sure diet can help, but I doubt it's that simple somehow.
All the best,
Sarah
