Which scan is better for brain/head?
Would my GP be able to refer me direct for a scan or would they have to refer me to a neurologist first?

A CT scan is best i had one about 3 years ago your GP could refer you to a neurologist but it would depend if they feel there is a need to.

But they can also refer you for one direct.
