Hi everyone,
So, it's been a pretty rubbish month for me. After getting a horrible breast abscess (which has finally cleared up), I noticed a smooth bald patch on the side of my head. Went to the GP - alopecia areata. I'm in my early 30's
I'm gutted. But hoping it doesn't get any worse. The GP has given me some steroid cream and ordered a range of immune tests. I do seem to have some sort of underlying immune system "dysfunction" for reasons I won't go into here.
Does anyone else have this? I don't want to hear about people randomly losing hair because of seasonal changes, but would love to hear from people with alopecia and/or autoimmune conditions who also suffer from anxiety.
