Numb feelings on scalp!

It's 3:50am and I am awake coming down from a panic attack because the back of my head felt like it was going numb. It's like a numb, heavy pressure but if I poke it with something sharp it definitely can be felt. I've also had this numbness in the side of my head against my ear. It's not painful. I can't come up with a reason why this is just anxiety so I am thinking things like stroke, aneurysm. I've had most of these numbness attacks at night. Anyone else experience this?

Hi Diptage, I have that too. I've had head pressure for several months now and when it gets really bad it affects my ears, eyes and gives me an anesthesia-like sensation in my face and the back of my head. I'm seeing an orthopedic surgeon on Monday and hope to find out whether it's related to my spine.
